This year marks an exciting milestone in the history of the Book Festival. We are pleased to present our NEW format, which now features four events throughout the year plus preview programs highlighting the theme of each signature event. With the roster of best-selling, celebrity authors on tap for this year, this event is not to be missed.

The NEW Jewish Book Festival: Four Seasons of Literary Excellence is an exciting celebration of nationally renowned Jewish authors and their remarkable contributions to our cultural life.

Thousands of Greater Hartford community members have enjoyed the past fourteen years of the Jewish Book Festival with great success and enjoyment. While the format is changing, the originality, creativity and innovation that has always been part of this prize-winning program will be on-going.

The New Jewish Book Festival was off to an auspicious start with sold out crowds for all events. From Carl Bernstein's talk on Hillary Clinton to Jodi Picoult's behind the scenes peek at how she researches her stories, Jewsical! The Musical's entertaining revue and historical overview of Chicago's Second City as well as Ambassador Dennis Ross' informative discussion, there was truly something for everyone.

The next series promises to be just as exciting as the inaugural year's offerings. Check back to be the first to know who will be coming to the 2008-2009 Festival.
