Date: First Tuesday of each month: July 1
Details: Are you tired of listening to the "talking heads" on TV? Want to voice your own opinion and ask questions about the upcoming election? Join Bobby Newman, local political pundit and expert in public relations and the media, as he moderates monthly discussions about democracy, electibility vs. leadership and if we are really ready for change as a result of this year's election. Free.
Time: 7:00 p.m.

July 4th Celebration Just for Swim and Tennis Club Members

Date: July 4
Details: From 1pm-4pm-inflatables, carnival games and barbeque. 9:15 a.m. -Tennis Mixed Doubles Round Robin.

Poker Bike Ride

Date: July 13
Details: A 15, 25 or 50 mile recreational bike ride. At each 5 mile mark, the riders stop to draw a card from a deck. (The 15-mile riders will pick up extra cards at the last stop.) At the end of the ride, each rider will have a poker hand. Riders with the best hands of the day win prizes. The ride is for the benefit of the JCC's youth and special needs program.PRE-REGISTRATION MANDATORY FOR 50-MILE RIDE ONLY
New this year: 50-Mile Ride touring the picturesque tobacco fields of Bloomfield and the beautiful Farmington River.
Time: 7:00am Start time for 50-mile ride; 7:45 am - 8:45 am registration. Bike ride begins at 9:00 am.
Where: The bike tour leaves The Swim & Tennis Club (Bloomfield) and tours the scenic Connecticut River Valley.
Categories & Registration fees:
Before June 15: Adult $35, Kids $10 (16 & under)
After June 15: Adults $40, Kids $15 (16 & under)
Day of event: Adults $45, Kids $15 (16 & under)

9TH ANNUAL CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT

Details:Your donation to the 9th Annual Mandell JCC Charity Golf Tournament makes it possible for us to enrich our programs and services, and broaden our impact on the community. JCCA Maccabi Arts Fest

Details: The Maccabi Arstsfest in being held in Fairfax, VA. It is designed to inspire Jewish teens through a dynamic combination of workshops, performance, exibition, community service, social activities, and fun. Teens develop their individuality through the medium of artistic expression while strengthening their bonds to their Jewish heritage, community, and Israel.

JCCA Maccabi Games

Details: The games are held in Detroit, MI. We have the following individual sporting event spots still open: Bowling, Dance, Golf, Swimming, Table Tennis, Track and Field, and Star Reporter. The Maccabi Games has a long tradition of being a inspirational and fulfilling Jewish experience.

Shabbat Club

Date: Ongoing, every Friday in The Family Room
Time: 11:30 am
Details: Join Janice Barshay and friends for songs, stories, candle lighting, challah and more. For children ages birth through five.

Shalom Baby!

Date: On-going
Details: Whether this is your first baby or you've experienced this wonderful joy before: parenthood is an exciting time, one of happiness, love, and probably a few questions. Shalom Baby is the Mandell JCC's newest initiative to welcome your little one to the Jewish community and provide a useful resource to guide you along your parenthood journey. We are looking for volunteers to help us launch the program.
