A place for fitness

Everyone knows that a healthy body leads to a strong mind, but not everyone knows just how enjoyable exercising can be. The Fitness Center at the Mandell JCC is on a mission to help families not only get fit, but to have fun doing it!

Our state-of-the-art facility has all the cardio and weight-training equipment you'd expect to find in a center of its caliber, but there are a number of unexpected surprises that make it much, much more than an ordinary gym. The facility contains a six-lane Olympic-size pool; racquetball and basketball courts; a PilatesTM studio; and our original CoolFit center, where kids can work out using interactive fitness videos. Certified trainers are available to help every member of the family find the fitness program that's just right for them, and with classes for children, teens, and adults that range from Tai Chi to Tae Kwon Do and SpinningTM to Self Defense, everyone will find truly enjoyable ways to meet their fitness goals.

And because good health is about more than just exercise, we also offer nutrition counseling; and programs in health education, weight management, integrative medicine, and smoking cessation.
