Physical Therapy Services
Provided by Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital, the Physical Therapy Center specializes in assessing and treating orthopedic, sports-related, and neurological injuries and conditions such as neck and back pain, muscle and ligament injuries, stroke and multiple sclerosis. The Center also offers post-surgical rehabilitation including joint replacements, ACL reconstruction and rotator cuff repairs.
The Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital Physical Therapy Center is now taking appointments.

Wednesday 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Michael Perin, PT, Certified MDT, has joined the Mandell JCC as the full-time Physical Therapist for the Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital Physical Therapy Center. Michael has over 8 years of experience, having graduated from the University of Hartford in January, 1999, with a B.S. degree in physical therapy. He was employed in an outpatient orthopedic clinic in New Jersey right after graduation until he relocated to Connecticut in 2000. He began working for The Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in July, 2000, focusing on outpatient orthopedic physical therapy, aquatic therapy and sports medicine, with a professional interest in spine problems and rehabilitation. Michael became credentialed in 2002 by The McKenzie Institute in the mechanical assessment and treatment of the spine.
Cardiac Rehabilitation
Co-sponsored by the JCC and Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Cardiac Rehabilitation program is a medically supervised and monitored exercise and educational program for people with a history of heart disease (angina, coronary artery bypass grafting, heart attacks) or with coronary risk factors (smoking, hypertension, elevated cholesterol, diabetes, obesity), or a family history of heart disease.

Nutrition Services
Let the Mandell JCC help you find a greater sense of well being with nutritional counseling services for weight control, cholesterol reduction, exercise and/or adopting a healthier lifestyle. Carol Tyler, M.A., R.D., CDN, who is associated with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, is available for individual or group sessions at the JCC. Carol will facilitate permanent lifestyle change and will help you to stop the dieting and weight-gain cycle.

HealthWorks Educational Programs
Through a long-time partnership with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the JCC offers an extensive array of programs in health education, nutrition and weight management, integrative medicine and smoking cessation.
