Giving / Support
A place to feel good about...
Of all the fundamental truths, perhaps none is as accurate as this one: When you give, you truly do receive. Your donation to the Mandell JCC makes it possible for us to maintain our beautiful facility, enrich our programs and services, and broaden our impact on the community. In return, you, your family, our members and the citizens of Greater Hartford all reap the rewards of what we offer.
The JCC Expansion and Community Capital Campaign: Building Our Jewish Future
The goal of the Mandell JCC's Capital Campaign is to ensure that we will remain strong and vibrant.
The recently completed expansion and renovation of the Jewish Community Center has increased the breadth of programs, activities and facilities that we offer to our members. As the center of our Jewish "neighborhood" and many members' first Jewish community experience, a thriving JCC is essential to the vitality of Jewish life in Greater Hartford.
Click on "Capital Campaign" to find out more about how you can help perpetuate the success of the JCC. Gifts are payable over time and dedication opportunities are available.
Fundraisers
The Mandell Jewish Community Center has established two annual fundraisers to finance the JCC Scholarship Program. Monies raised at The JCC Golf Tournament and The Homecoming Gala assist families who cannot afford a full JCC membership. The Scholarship Program provides these families access to the JCC's accredited childcare and preschool education program, after school programs, senior adult, special needs programming and more. Part of our mission to the community is to make certain that our programs remain accessible, and that no one is turned away due to the inability to pay. For more information please call 231-6351 or email .
Contributions
Donate your car and enjoy a tax benefit. Consider the benefits of donating your car to the JCC. Not only do you get a tax deduction at the end of the year, but also, you feel the satisfaction of helping us help others. For more information call 231-6351 or .
Endowment Funds
The JCC's many endowment funds are expertly managed by the Jewish Community Foundation (www.jcfhartford.org). These permanent funds last in perpetuity, with only the interest being spent on an annual basis. Some funds support the general purposes of the Jewish Community Center while others have been established to support specific programs or departments.
Establishing a new permanent fund in support of a department, a specific program or an annual event is a way to provide a lasting source of funding for a meaningful program or a favorite effort. Contributing to the existing JCC endowment helps to perpetuate the existing funds and is a wonderful way to honor a special occasion, memorialize a loved one, or recognize a noteworthy accomplishment.
To establish a fund in support of the JCC, to make a contribution to the JCC Endowment Funds, or for information on planned giving in support of the JCC, contact Frank Resnick at 231-6321 / ; or David Jacobs at 231-6313 / .
