Farmington Valley: JCC/FVJC Emek Shalom Early Childhood Center in Simsbury.

Beatrice Fox Auerbach Early Childhood Center, Mandell JCC- West Hartford

Our early childhood programs are designed to give the youngest child a variety of opportunities to master the social, emotional and physical tasks of each developmental stage in a healthy, safe and caring Jewish environment that welcomes children and families of all backgrounds.

A special dimension of the Mandell JCC is the opportunity to grow here. Many children who begin in our Infant/Toddler program continue with us in our after-school care and summer camps. Programs at the Mandell JCC instill a sense of belonging. We encourage families to participate in all Center activities. As part of the ECC you will automatically have a family membership at the Mandell JCC.

Staff
Our teachers are qualified professionals who have the interests of your child and family at heart. Staff is certified in First Aid, CPR and participates in on-going professional development and training. Our high child-to-teacher ratio ensures that each child receives optimum attention.

Parents
Open communication among families, teachers and administrators is essential in building trusting relationships. The school has an open door policy. Parents are encouraged to become involved in the program by participating on various committees, attending family social events and educational opportunities.

Licensing and Accreditation
The Beatrice Fox Auerbach Early Childhood Center Infant/Toddler Program and Preschool are proudly licensed by the Connecticut Department of Health and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

NAEYC is dedicated to improving the well-being of young children. By receiving accreditation, the BFAECC has voluntarily met professional standards and specific criteria for early childhood education programs that help families identify top quality programs. Through NAEYC, the Mandell JCC has proven a commitment to the highest quality early childhood education.
