John Meyer of Norwich clothing epitomized a special era in American history. A leader in style and marketing, Meyer reached out to a burgeoning middle class and spoke to the exuberance and excitement of the 1960s.

Guest speakers: Elise Meyer, daughter of John Meyer; Vivian Doe, Director of the Slater Memorial Museum and Curator of the John Meyer of Norwich Exhibit; and Laura Crow, former director of the UConn Clothing and Textile Department.
