In our continued commitment to be a secure and welcoming community center, we are excited to share with you that starting November 18th, we will begin construction on our 'Front Door Project.'
This project, which is being generously funded by the Mandell and Braunstein families and a grant from the State of Connecticut, is expected to be completed in January 2020.
November - January
  • The Member Services Center will be temporarily relocated to the Chase Family Gallery.
  • Fitness Check-In: Members will be checking in at the top of ramp going towards fitness. If you do not have your scan card, you will need to go to Member Services before heading up the ramp.
  • All members are required to have a picture on file which is linked to your scan card. Please see the Members Services Center to have your picture taken or to confirm you have a picture on file.
  • During the construction period, please plan to arrive earlier than normal so the check in process goes smoothly.
  • The main entrance will be open at all times during the construction.
  • Throughout the construction process we will be updating you with information concerning the main entrance to the Mandell JCC.
If you have any questions related to this project, please contact Security Director Jim Schwab, 860.236.4356
We appreciate your patience during the construction of this project and look forward to sharing our new entrance with you.

Thank you for being part of our J which touches so many lives. Every day, thanks to our generous supporters in our Community Donor Circle, the Mandell JCC brings people together...makes us healthier...educates our children...supports those in need of assistance...and strengthens our connection to our culture, our community and each other.
As a nonprofit, the Mandell JCC depends on the generosity of our donors. Those gifts help ensure the many vital and meaningful programs our members and neighbors have come to depend on. We may deliver them, but it's our circle of donors...our Pillars, Pacesetters and Friends...that truly makes it all happen.
And now we have a big goal! Please help us #DoubleOurDonors by December 31, and double the difference we can make.
Your gift gives people in our community a place they can count on...people they can connect with...and experiences they can’t find anywhere else.
Thanks to a recent $10,000 grant from the Capital Equipment Fund of the Jewish Community Foundation, the JCC was able to purchase and install a new institutional washing machine for the JCC laundry room.
The JCC's laundry operations provides laundry and towel services not only for JCC members, but also supports the needs of the ECC, our rental operations, and the Mt. Sinai/St. Francis Rehabilitation Center.
