J Weekly September 13-19

"Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of ending.” ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

They say life begins at retirement. But our lives at the JCC will never be the same ... as we say the most bittersweet of goodbyes to our dear friend and colleague Lia Wald.

After 35 years of good and bad days, achievements, coffee breaks, office pranks, countless friendships and 35 years of excellence, Lia is starting a new chapter in her life.

Friends are the family that you get to choose ... and every single one of us at the JCC considers Lia family. She will never know how dearly she will be missed.

May your retirement life be the best part of your life, yet!

Please join us in sharing a fond farewell to Lia Wald.

We hope you will take a moment to email us a special message or a photo of you and Lia, that we can share in our special gift to her.

The JCC's commitment that no one should be denied a JCC experience due to inability to pay the full price could be more important than it is today. Financial aid, based on need, is available for summer camps, sports jams, preschool, and membership. Asking for help can be difficult and uncomfortable -- and for many, this may be the first time such a request is being made. Everything is kept confidential.
