J Weekly June 28-July 4

"We don't grow when things are easy. We grow when we face challenges."
~Author Nurma Clarkson

There is, perhaps, no truer sentiment right now. 3 1/2 months after the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the closing of our building, and compelled us to re-imagine the J community, we are reopening this week, stronger together, now and always.

There are always lessons to be learned during challenging times, which come to us to make us better. In the face of adversity, we learn to be more resilient, compassionate and grateful.

As we put the finishing touches on the preparations to reopen Wednesday, July 1, we want to express how grateful we are to all of you who have shared in our J community during this time. These challenges have only made us even more grateful for the opportunity to grow with all of you.

We look forward to seeing our members for fitness and aquatics on July 1.

Please be sure to familiarize yourself with our guidelines on our website.

Sign up TODAY for summer programming at the J!

The school year has ended, so it's time for kids to start summer camp! There is still availability in a variety of our summer programming. With arts, science, theater, sports, dance, camp Shalom and more - there is something here for everyone!

The financial impact of the pandemic has been unprecedented. We are aware that the costs of membership and summer programs may be a challenge for some people. The JCC is committed to doing all we can to fulfill its commitment to ensure that no one is denied a JCC experience due to inability to pay the full price.

Our programs have always been valuable and essential -- and we know that they will be needed, now more than ever.

Asking for help can be difficult and uncomfortable -- and for many, this may be the first time such a request is being made. We respect confidentiality, and financial assistance is as generous as possible.
