Transitional Kindergarten

The Mandell JCC offers an innovative program at its NAEYC accredited Beatrice Fox Auerbach Early Childhood Center in West Hartford and at its Shirley Reaback Early Childhood Center in Glastonbury.  This program offers a limited number of places.

The five-day program is ideal for children who are "young" fives, or children who might benefit from another year to develop socially, emotionally, physically and/or academically before moving on to a kindergarten program.

Children enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) will strive toward similar goals as those of a kindergarten program, but will work at a modified pace in a classroom in a low child to teacher ratio for extra care and attention.
