Hop on a bike and help raise money at the Mandell JCC’s 22nd Annual Poker Bike Ride on Sunday, July 14, 2013. This event will take place at the Mandell JCC’s summer site, The Swim & Tennis Club, 4 Duncaster Road, Bloomfield, CT. Proceeds from this event will benefit Youth Programming at the Mandell JCC.

The Mandell JCC is preparing to modernize Jonathan’s Dream Playground, announced David Jacobs, Executive Director of the Mandell JCC. Effective immediately, the playground on the Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Ave., West Hartford, CT, will be closed to the community while the space is deconstructed and refurbishment plans are developed. A free gathering entitled Imagine What Could Be, will take place at the Mandell JCC, and unveil potential play-area concepts, and will solicit community feedback from children and adults. Imagine What Could Be will be held onThursday, May 23, 2013 at 6:00 p.m.
Children and tots can climb into trucks at the 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck on Sunday, May 19, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Mandell JCC’s Family Room Parenting Center. There will be a “no honk” time out of respect for the special needs community between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m.
Kids can have triple the fun with a swim, bike, and run at the 6th Annual Kids Triathlon Challenge on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Mandell JCC, Zachs Campus, 335 Bloomfield Avenue, West Hartford, CT.
Travel to China with the Mandell JCC and Lauren Drazen and immerse yourself in its culture with the Mandell JCC’s 14-day trip from July 2-16, 2014. This trip is open to the community and is designed for adults and families with children ages 15 and up.
