One night only at the Mandell JCC.

This gripping one-man show offers an intimate and unflinching portrait of one of the most groundbreaking and controversial performers of the 20th century. Drawing from Lenny Bruce’s landmark court battles and original material, the production reveals the man behind the icon, his struggles, his brilliance, and his lasting impact on freedom of speech and comedy.

The show ran for 125 performances in Los Angeles and nine months Off-Broadway, earning widespread critical acclaim, including an LA Times Critic’s Choice designation.

Created and performed by Ronnie Marmo and directed by Tony Award-winning stage actor and film and television star Joe Mantegna, the show is as much a meditation on censorship and artistic expression as it is a tribute to a singular voice that changed comedy forever.
