A Place to Grow Together, our children begin their lifetime journey.
So many first steps into the Mandell JCC community start — literally — in our Early Childhood Center programs. This is where children of all backgrounds are introduced to the idea of school...and where many families get to know the JCC and all that it offers.
“It is our belief that these first school experiences will help our children acquire the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in life, so we do everything we can to make them exciting, engaging, and full of discovery.”, says Gen Delay Pasternak, ECC Co-Director.
Since the first pre-school program run by parent volunteers in 1954, early childhood education at the JCC has been meeting the changing needs of families. The schools have always been – and continue to be – an important portal through which young families enter our Mandell JCC community.
“Today, we provide multiple scheduling options, including full-day care, the Family Room Parenting Center, and a solid curriculum that nurtures and encourages growth,” says Andrea Rosenfield, ECC Co-Director.
From the basic building blocks of education to universal values like kindness, generosity and friendship, the ECC makes sure our children are not just prepared for the world ahead, but filled with the confidence and inspiration they’ll need to succeed in it.
