Acupuncture

Acupuncture provides an ancient drug-free alternative to relieve pain, reduce side effects from medication and other treatments, promote relaxation and peace, and balance the body’s energy for optimal health.

Community Acupuncture is acupuncture in a group setting (although safely socially distant) and offers clients a more affordable treatment than private one-on-one sessions. Thread-like needles are placed peripherally at specific sites on the hands, arms, feet, legs, ears and head, then the client relaxes in a reclining chair for 45 to 60 minutes.

Private Acupuncture allows for a one-on-one experience with additional techniques which may include hair thin needles, magnets, cupping, Tuina massage, ear seeds, and energy therapy.

Guided Relaxation

In a guided relaxation session, the practitioner provides a combination of breath work instruction,  guided imagery, positive affirmations, and other relaxation techniques – all to support the unique needs of the individual.

Hypnosis

Hypnosis uses guided relaxation and focused attention to achieve a heightened state of awareness.  In this naturally occurring state, hypnosis allows people to explore thoughts, feelings, and memories.  This enables clients to perceive things differently and has been shown to reduce the perception of pain, lessen pre-surgical jitters, relieve anxiety, assist with weight  management and smoking cessation, and calm the body and mind.

Health & Life Coaching

Used to help discover the reason behind their desired health or life change, coaches empower individuals to become experts on themselves and what is best for them, identify tools to help shift behaviors, and provide both support and accountability on their wellness journey.

Massage Therapy

Massage therapy has been practiced for thousands of years to prevent and alleviate pain, discomfort, muscle spasms, and stress.  Bodywork can improve the functioning of circulatory, lymphatic, muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems, and may improve the rate at which the body recovers from injury and illness.  The touch of massage is an instinctive gesture of comfort and can have calming emotional and physiological effects.  Available in 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions.

Sound & Energy Therapy

Sound therapy is an immersion in the beautiful sounds and vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls.  Tibetan bowls produce a rich, deep tone which can affect our bodies at a cellular level - promoting relaxation, lowering blood pressure, decreasing pain intensity, stimulating the immune system, and balancing the body's energy system.   It is the perfect pairing with Reiki - an energy therapy which is meant to strengthen wellness, help cope with symptoms, and support medical care.

Naomi Lufkin, LPC, NCC

Transformation Counseling

Naomi Lufkin is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. Naomi changed the course of her life, during Midlife, by closing the chapter of a business she owned for about ten years.  Naomi had a great desire to reclaim her authentic self, so she decided to attend graduate school at University of Saint Joseph, and majored in Community Counseling.  Naomi had worked in several nonprofit agencies, and then in 2005, she went into private practice, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor, as well as a National Certified Counselor.  She had an office in West Hartford for twelve years, and she specialized in Midlife Transitions.  In 2017, she closed her office practice, and spends the winters in Naples, Florida with her husband.  Directly before the pandemic, in January of 2020, Naomi decided to reinvent herself one more time, and opened a “telehealth” practice, whereby she continues to see clients in Connecticut to this day.  Naomi is extraordinarily passionate about helping others find meaning and purpose during the second half of their lives.  She values humor tremendously, and weaves it in to every session, and clients appreciate the lighthearted ways each and every one of them can look at themselves.  Naomi is a Board Certified Counselor as well, and looks forward to meeting new people along this next journey.
