Orthopedics/Joint Replacement
Keeping our bones and body strong becomes more and more important as we age. What you eat and how you move can help you reduce musculoskeletal injuries, strengthen muscles and bones, decrease joint inflammation, and keep you living a healthy and active lifestyle.
Nutrition
Once you’ve reached age 30, you have achieved peak bone mass. Feeding your bones with the correct nutrition can help you sustain bone mass and decrease your risk of fracture and osteoporosis. In addition, adding key nutrients after injury can help you recover faster, strengthen bones, build muscle, heal wounds, and reduce inflammation.
Nutrition Consultation - A personalized diet and supplement approach to keeping your bones and joints healthy, and correcting any nutrient deficiencies that can lead to weakness or injury.

Stress Management
A person’s state of mind can wear down their bones. In fact, recent research shows high stress levels influence bone biology, eventually leading to osteoporosis and increased fracture risk. Chronic stress invites inflammation into the body, and with increased inflammation comes increased cortisol levels, which can change one’s hormone profile and disturb the protective mechanisms associated with healthy bones..
Massage Therapy - Through reducing inflammation and relaxing muscles, massage therapy eases the pressure put on sick or damaged bones and joints. It also improves circulation, which helps nutrients and oxygen reach struggling tissues. That, in turn encourages healing and pain reduction.
Guided Relaxation - Helps you achieve a state of inner calm and can help decrease cortisol and, perhaps of most importance, provide a sense of peace.
M-technique - Uses light touch to induce relaxation and aid in stress relief.
Sound and Energy Therapy - Experience deep relaxation in this emersion of sound and vibration.
Acupuncture - Can help stimulate bone growth, reduce joint inflammation and swelling, extremely useful in pain management, and has the ability to provide full body relaxation.
Naturopathic Medicine - Provides a comprehensive assessment followed by natural treatment options for lowering stress impact on bone health. Improving hormone profile, micronutrient status, and activity level can be very helpful when building healthy bones.

Fitness
Weight-bearing exercise - movement that forces a part of your body to work against gravity — encourages the bones in that area to shore up their strength. Weight-bearing exercise includes any activity where your body must bear its own weight — for example, walking, tennis or running. Resistance exercises can also help strengthen bones as well as enhance balance.
